Pregnancy isn’t deductible. Babies are.
Now, if you manage to give birth on Dec. 31 at 11:59 pm you will have a dependent exemption for the whole year. You could force the issue with a C-section – but then, you’d also have a premie – and that’s not so great for your baby.

Definitely not worth it, just to get a tax exemption.
Of course, if your medical expenses during the year were high enough to itemize, you can take those deductions. But I truly hope they weren’t.
