Dear Family,
OK I’m lying. Yesterday was really International Mother
Language Day, not today. But I like the concept of the
richness of culture. And I love languages and want to
encourage everyone to learn the languages of their parents
and grandparents. And so, we honor the day, a little late.
Speaking of parents and grandparents, my friend Sally Dalton
in Oregon, Ohio sent her friends some urgent talking points
between parents and adult children. Since they are so important,
and are so often neglected, I’ve provided them for you to
print out and use. If you need an excuse,or a crutch to deal with
these issues – here it is. Pass this on to everyone you know.

On a lighter note, we deal with a bit more aging in
Money Funnies this week. You’ll enjoy the High Tech one
upsmanship. (one upswomanship?)
https://taxquips.com/index.php?cat=MoneyFunnies
TaxQuips this week gives you a link to the HUD-1 one form,
you learn about the stock loss issues – and the reason I
have my MarketWatch column, and about why secret gifts may
not always be the best idea – despite your wonderful intentions.
https://taxquips.com/index.php?cat=TaxQuips
IRS News includes tips to deal with income from foreign
sources, and early withdrawals from retirement accounts.
It does not deal with excess contributions and how to fix that
problem. We were dealing with that on the phone with the
investment house yesterday. What a pain! Lesson here? Don’t
fund your retirement accounts without FIRST talking to your
tax pro about your plans for the year.

The Stimulus Package is still making everyone crazy. You
can play with a tool on the www.TaxMama.com home page to
see how much you’ll get back.
This week, I’ve been flooded with questions – both about
taxes and the EA Exam Review Class. So look for an
EA Exam News e-mail later today. And about tax questions?
Read today’s MarketWatch article about where to get answers.
Unfortunately, there aren’t enough hours in the day for me
to answer them all. I wish I could.

Most people are really enthusiastic about The 100%
Home-Based Business Tax Solution. Some are frustrated
with the technology stumbling blocks. Don’t worry, I am
constantly looking to improve the product – and to add
tips. As I do that, everyone who’s already ordered (and
provided advice) will get the full benefit.
We’ll also be working on a paperback version that you
can print on demand. More on that after it’s done.
Remember, your feedback, tips and stories will be included.
And you will get credit, recognition, fame – but no money – for your contribution. We will link to your website, if you
have one. (And did I tell you that you could get a commission
if your friends or clients buy it? Ask me about that.)
As always, we love your feedback, opinions and ideas.
You are what makes all this fun – and interesting!
