Dear Family,
This year, we have an odd 4th of July. It comes
in the middle of the week. Some companies, I suppose
are giving people time off for a long weekend this week.
Others, perhaps are taking the holiday next week. Of
course, most government offices will only be closed
on the 4th, smack dab in the middle of the week.
What will you be doing? If you’re smart – taking
both weekends, with the week in between.
I applaud you!
Meanwhile, let’s see what interesting things we

IRS has lots of announcements about staffing changes
and things involving professionals and exempt
organizations. I don’t really think you want to
read about them. But if you do, drop by
IRS’s newsroom.
Though there was a very interesting seminar by
IRS e-services Group. And, let me tell you – the
future is really interesting. Oh, and shhhhh,
don’t tell anyone but, in the future, you will be
able to e-file amended returns, and perhaps even
late returns as far back as 2005!
