TAX REBATE SCAM. . .

Treasury is aware that taxpayers in 4 states-Missouri, Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Ohio-are being approached by scam artists who claim to be able to calculate the amount of tax rebate a taxpayer will receive. They will do this for a fee. This service is completely unnecessary as IRS is sending out notices to taxpayers with this information.

[TaxMama: Please be careful. The rebates are not large but there are vampires waiting to suck it out of your grasp. Eva]
