Dear Family,

Is it Friday already?

Has most of this month flown by? For kids, summer is effectively over. School is starting next week. Obviously, since the one across the street is busily bringing in new pre-fab buildings and such, in the dark hours of the morning. They're not too bad, though. Except when they drop one of those units on the ground (mini-earthquake) all you hear/feel at 5:30 in the morning is the deep rumble of the truck's engine.

My husband and my neighbors are only upset about one thing though: The big building they just dumped in front of us has a dragon painted along the side. They're upset that it's on the side we can't see.

And speaking of childishness, Rick just reminded me that I owe him one. For my birthday about a year or 2 ago, he spent an entire week blowing up balloons and filling the entire garage with them - then inviting me in there, with a sharp pin, to go wild and pop them all. (in honor of Pogo.com's Poppit game.) Anyone have any ideas on how I can get even? It needs to be mischievous, clever, underhanded, and fun - for him. Go ahead and email me.

You're probably cleverer and sillier than I. So, let's see what wonderful, harmless, upbeat ways you can come up with to tease him - or anyone. I'll publish all your answers.

Just curious - speaking of silly - What did you think of the Moolah Hula? Wasn't that a kick?

Opinions?

Oh, I nearly forgot, tune in to the Jim Blasingame, the Small Business Advocate, next Tuesday, August 31 from 8:00-8:30am ET I'll be joining him. Heck, tune in earlier - he starts at 7:00 a.m. and always has intersting people on. You can hear earlier broadcasts in his archives.

Hugs to all.
