Dear Family,

Well, nothing is ever done. We've spent all week editing The Book. An author I met last night, remarked that her friend said the hardest part about writing a book is dealing with the edits afterwards. I've been lucky. Though it has been time-consuming, the editorial process has been more interesting than difficult. I suppose I just enjoy studying how things work - so, I have an odd sense of fun.

Oh! A very kind WSJ reporter, Andrew Blackman discovered The Book is already on Amazon.com

Blackman wrote an interesting article on your credit scores

It looks like we're due for another tax bill. Now, both the House and the Senate have passed their corporate tax bills. It seems the EU doesn't like our Foreign Sales Corporations (FSCs) and was ready to bring trade sanctions against the US. We'll see how the final law looks soon.

Meanwhile, If you're considering cutting your tax debt, you will appreciate this month's CBS.MarkatWatch.com article, Dealing with the IRS on tax debt can be prickly

Oh goody, one more thing to learn. I'll admit that I am a little tired right now. Now that the book is done, I've promised to teach an Enrolled Agents Examination Review Course online over the summer. So, this week, we started developing the technical tools to make that class possible. IRS will be changing the exam next year, so this is the last year we can predict the kinds of questions that will be on the exam. If you're interested in passing September's IRS exam, please let me know. I'll be sending out information and a questionnaire to students by Monday.

The class will be limited in size this year to no more than 30 people, since we're testing the software and the tools.(Oh yes, I'm finally working with the publisher to develop the software. It will be ready for the class.) So anyone who's interested, speak up now, and be ready to commit a LOT of time for about 8-10 weeks. I will only accept people who plan to pass the exam this year. Maybe next year, I'll consider including dilettantes.

For now, I think I'll just go take a nap.

Hey, remember your dad. If you've still got one, you're luckier than many of us. I really miss mine. Enjoy yours while you can.

Hugs to all.
