![]() Deadlines Looming - See TaxMama's 2004 Calendar April 30 - Payroll & Sales Tax Returns Due June 15 - 2nd Estimated Payment Due (personal) - Personal Income Tax Returns Due (overseas) July 15 - Partnerships and 1041s Due or extensioin Dear Family, IRS sent out reminders recently that e-filing is still available for people during the extension period. The interesting thing about the e-mail was the comment that e-filing is available to late filers who did not get an extension. How interesting. Clearly IRS is aiming to encourage as many people as possible to file electronically. Over 60 million people did so by May 21st. It is getting easier to do. The technology is getting better. Yes, there are down times, sometimes. What amazes me, and everyone just seems to take it for granted, is that IRS was able to process 60 MILLION tax returns in less than 130 days - that's over 46,000 transactions per day, if we include Sundays. Do you realize the magnitude of that accomplishment? We are living in an age that is astonishing and magic. Speaking of magic, since I'm feeling so good. (The BOOK is nearly done. Final deadline is Monday.) I'm going to give you a very special gift. Anyone who wants to spend this summer starting their own business online - or increasing the income in the business you've got.
