Dear Family,

Well, we survived another tax season, even with a little sense of humor left.

I really want to thank all of you who have been so wonderful and so considerate:

  • Those of my clients and friends who came in on time, with all your materials, and with no fuss.

  • Those of you who were missing just a few things - and actually got them to me - in my lifetime, without more than two nudges.

  • Those of you who submitted questions - and actually filled in the few pieces of information on the question form.

  • Those of you who were kind enough NOT to hit reply to this newsletter when you had a question, so I didn't lose your important note.

  • A special thanks to those of you who took the time to help answer questions, or look things up and provide resources.

  • Of course, we all thank those of you who sent in (relatively) clean, (and short) humor, without attachments.

And I particularly want to thank those of you who are adept enough to update your own addresses, as you change ISPs, by using either the link at the bottom of the newsletter, or the subscribe form on the website.

You've all saved me time, been a big help to this community, and made it a real pleasure to provide this service - and give me the incentive to keep it free.

And there's more good news. This morning, I had a long chat with IRS's Taxpayer Education folks. Naturally, they love TaxMama.com and the tone and information on the site. So, coming soon, they'll be providing us with resources just for you. You won't have to go to the IRS site, when it's so busy it locks up on you as you're trying to download forms. All the links to forms and information will work, because I'll be hosting much of the material right here on the site. Of course that will mean some changes or improvements to our server. But it will happen gradually over the summer, so it won't interfere with your enjoyment, entertainment or functionality of the site.

For the next couple of weeks, I'll be hard, or even, impossible to reach. It's time to finish writing the new book, Small Business Taxes Made Easy. My editor expects it in her hands by the end of this month, if you are to get it by November. So, please give me these two weeks off, OK?

It's just all too exciting!

Eva Rosenberg, EA
