12.31.2005 Last Day to Open KEOGH account for 2005 deposits 01.15.2006 4th Estimated Payment for 2005 ![]() Dear Family, It's been an exciting week for my EA Exam students. IRS just released the official answers to the 2005 Enrolled Agents exam. It just went up on IRS's site. We got an early copy and everyone's been checking to see how many of our challenges were accepted - and if they've passed. Well, it turns out that IRS accepted at least 25 challenged answers based on the efforts of students, organizations like NAEA and NATP and people like Jim Banks of FasTax and myself. I've been hearing from my students and others on my EA Exam News list that they've passed! The challenges made all the difference to those who were right on the verge. But there were people who were so far off, they never expected to pass - and they DID! I've really got to applaud everyone who worked so hard to make this possible - especially IRS for being so generous. And on the other hand, I tried to get IRS to issue a new Revenue Procedure to enhance an article I just finished for MarketWatch today. Can you imagine, they wouldn't drop what they're doing and issue a new Procedure just for me? But they might add it to the queue for later. You never know. I just have to find out how to submit the proposal to get it added to their priority list. Oh, what am I talking about? Well, it's something you're going to hear a lot more about - and not just from me. Rolling over 1031 exchanges into tenant-in-common properties. The article will be on MarketWatch.com later today. But, I've got to tell you, during the last two or three weeks of my research, everyone I've spoken to has been completely enthusiastic. This area is HOT! And the article I wrote just didn't have enough room to explain the whole thing or why it's so very exciting. So, I'll just have to explain in more detail, with the help of the experts I've interviewed, over the next few months. Yes, months. There's so much - and there's so much benefit for you...You're going to want to know more. Speaking about more - and benefits. People have been asking me to go into more depth about taxes related to your business. You want me to explain more about office in home, how to write off your car, whether an LLC or an S-Corp is best for you...well, I'm going to do it. Live. It's going to cost you - but it will be the best money you've ever spent on your business. Read the details - Such A Success If you noticed the Happy Thanksgiving celebration of today's issue, well, it's because there won't be one next weekend. We've all worked hard. You and me both. And all our staff - and friends. It's time to take a break and spend time with family. They're pretty precious - and who knows how much longer they'll be here. So, don't get so busy as to forget the people you love. I want to thank YOU. Your contributions, your personal notes, your advice, your wisecracks. You always brighten up my day. Thank you for being here. Hugs, Sign up for the Internet's NUMBER ONE tax podcast. Listen to this weeks pearls of wisdom.
