New IRS Balance Due Notices

The question came up last week about the advance Child Tax Credit in 2003.

IRS flatly turned us down. Nope. If you didn't keep track of the rebates you got. Or you looked it up on the IRS site and got the wrong amount, which you entered on your tax return - and now you owe IRS penalties for underpaying your taxes in 2003 - well, you're stuck with those penalties.
