I'll admit to being a little stressed about it myself. My biggest complaint is the COMPLEXITY of filing taxes. The actual payment of taxes is something I really don't mind all that much. When I think of all we get for our taxes, it doesn't seem all that bad. Our taxes help to provide good roads to drive on, police protection, utilities, the safety provided by our defense forces and so much more. If you think about it, the freedoms and opportunities we have far outweigh the cost. The lifestyle most of us live exceeds the existence of even kings and queens of only a few generations ago. When I think taxes are too high--and some of them are--I must remind myself that I have had the good fortune and great privilege to earn enough to have to PAY taxes.
