Checks or Payments Online II Last week, I offered some options to help your business. You responded: <Dennis of www.boogiejack.com - sent me this note> Just thought I'd mention that there is another option that may be better for some of your readers. I got my merchant account at the credit union I belong to. Credit unions sometimes have much better deals. How much better? Monthly fee - $0 Statement fee - $0 The only fee is 4% of sales, but no per transaction fee. There was a $35.00 charge to set up the account, but that's it. They supply everything I need for that set up fee and the percentage of sales. No monthly or yearly fees. The percentage may be a little higher than some banks charge, but it can be a great way to get started at a low cost. I've been so happy with them I've stuck with them, even though I make enough sales now that I could probably save a little money going somewhere else. Great service is worth the extra little bit to me, plus every person in that office knows me by name. There's something to be said for having people like that on your side. Best regards, Dennis Gaskill www.boogiejack.com <Maciej of Redline Automotive Accessories - www.redlinegoods.com adds> Eva, if you want to suggest the best online card operator, Paysystems is the way to go. www.redlinegoods.com Europe and Washington State |
