![]() » W-2s and 1099s - OK, you've sent them out to all the people who are supposed to get them. But, if you're smart, you haven't filed them with the government. Wait until you get all the calls and notes about corrections. Then, file them at the end of this month. (Uh, no. We have a reprieve because the 29th is on a weekend.) For 2004, you may send them in by March 1st. » Corporate/LLC Bookkeeping - If you have a corporation, or LLC filing as one, it's time to finish up your corporate bookkeeping. Your tax return will be due next month. Even for an extension, you need to know your profits. » February 17, 2004 - File a new W-4 with your employer if you claimed 'exempt' last year. » W-2s & 1099s - Your W-2s and 1099s should be arriving any day now. If you don't have them by the middle of the month, call your employer to have them either re-send your copy, or fax it to you. » Child Tax Credit (remember that?) - Dig out the paperwork about the Child Tax Credit you received last year. Or if you didn't get one, make sure to note that in your organizer. These handy-dandy February reminders are brought to you by: Eva Rosenberg Your TaxMama |
