Homeland Security gets into the act of virus information.

No, they're not sending out viruses - they're sending out virus warnings. So, do you think they'll put Norton and McAfee out of business?

Why am I so interested in Cyber Alerts? That MyDoom bug has filled up my computer with hundreds of little offspring. Naturally, I didn't open any. But it did take hours to remove them all from my hard drive.

I got the fix-tool from my friend Ian Purdie in Australia, from www.electronics-tutorials.com . He sent this link to a virus-cleaning tool for the new virus - and several others. It's f-r-e-e-.

Speaking of Cyber Security, if you're concerned about what your children or teens are doing online, but don't want to look uncool by looking over their shoulders all the time, or they shut you out and won't talk to you ... you'll love this new software tool.

My friend, Don Schnure became a dad recently and so the issue hit home. He saw what happened to a good friend's daughter and was compelled to design a tool to protect her and others - PCTattletale

In a nutshell it allows you the parent to monitor your child's Internet activity whenever they're online (without looking like a jerk).

You'll know exactly where they've been, what they've seen, who they've talked to, sent email too and even who they've had instant message conversations with.

(Just don't go overboard forbidding them from doing anything. Sure, you'll get heart palpitations. But, don't micromanage them. Let them make the small mistakes. Let them have very minor wicked adventures - but know when to step in and STOP. )
