You may want to do some searching on Kiplinger.com Sometimes, they run articles that analyze all the states' taxes for the best place to retire. They take into account more than just income tax. They evaluate property taxes and sales taxes, too. Some states with no income taxes make up for it by having really high property, asset or sales taxes.
